Welcome to Uune! Uune is a roleplaying base game, designed to
facilitate games which jive with the following ideas:
- Players should inhabit their characters as much as
possible.
- Player characters should be able to “push” to accomplish
things.
- Character builds should be flexible, but clear and
inspirational.
- Game mechanics should be believable, but not
simulationist.
- The game should be accessible and approachable.
- We should reward both player’s creativity and their
knowledge of the game.
- Rules should be as simple as practical, but with opportunity
for complexity where needed.
Uune is provided as a System Reference Document, along with
separate documents for additional core material, all of which
are placed into the public domain.
This project is made by a human, with no generative AI
content included or supported.
Core Features
Uune is presented with the following features as part of the
base game and material:
- A low barrier to entry, needing only a standard set of
D6s.
- A resource driven dice pool that enables creative thinking
and solutions.
- Character shticks, providing to the point build options that
can be mixed and matched.
- Bonds which reward players for acting on their character’s
identity.
- Combat which can be fast and deadly, but also tactful and
rewarding.
- And it’s completely free, no strings attatched,
forever.
Official Settings
Paramnesia (WIP)
A bronze age horror fantasy, set in a world of powerful
immortals and churning chaos.
- Magic Shticks: The Mistwalker and the Zealot.
- Species: Humans, Rooks, and Numen.
- Monsters: Insane demigods, shadow demons, enigmas of
reality, etc.
Project Status
Uune has recently undergone a major rework. Things will
continue to be tested and iterated on over the coming
months.
